RAIS has a proven track record in raising the aspirations of children and young people, with the use of a number of successful strategies that we have developed. We share these strategies with a wide range of groups working with children, young people and families, including:
• Schools
• Parent and carer support groups
• Charities
• Social Services
• Voluntary groups
• Community Groups

To share these strategies and ensure that they are effective, we use a combination of the following support mechanisms:

Networking
We do not seek to replicate services that already exist. Instead, we work in partnership with organisations that work with children and young people so that each organisations’ capacity is increased. This takes the form of setting up and/or attending community and education forums; putting complimentary organisations in touch with each other; and offering in-serice training and personal/professional development courses.

Personal/Professional Development Courses
We offer a variety of courses to help people and organisations to be more effective in supporting children and young people. A list of these courses can be viewed by clicking on the Courses menu

Pre- and Post- Course Support
To ensure the maximum benefit can be derived from our courses, we offer the following services:

• Introduction
A session lasting between 1 and 2 hours, to introduce a flavour of the course(s) that your organisation is considering.

• Demonstration
As an alternative to the introduction session, or as well as, we are happy to facilitate a session with your client group of children or young people so that you can see the strategies working in situ.

• Coaching
The research is very clear that rarely does a one-off event, such as a one-day seminar, have a lasting impact. For this reason, we offer continued support after the course to help embed the strategies within your day-to-day practice. This can be through a mix of one-to-one coaching sessions, help with planning, further demonstration sessions, and/or email support.
